Holiday Weekend!

Can you believe we’re in the middle of summer already? With the 4th of July weekend here?

I don’t know about you, but this year has flown by.

I know the holiday was yesterday, but a lot of people are still going to be celebrating tonight and this weekend. For some, it’s difficult to visit unless you have a longer weekend for the drive.

So, barbecues, cold drinks, maybe bonfires, fireworks… All the good stuff, right?

But please stay safe. It has been dry around here lately, though they’re predicting a chance of rain tonight. Fireworks can set grass fires in dry weather, so before you celebrate too heartily, make sure there won’t be any unfortunate accidents.

And don’t forget your sunscreen while you’re sipping your sweet tea or other cold drink around the pool or the deck. It’s easy to get caught up in visiting and forget, but who wants a bodacious sunburn?

May I suggest you check at L’bri for your sun and fun products? They’re among my favorite things! I particularly like the Aloe Vera Gel. It’s perfect after too much sun. And a little bit of it goes a long way, so be careful the first time you try it!

Fireworks are a definite thing around the 4th, but they can be dangerous. Don’t add a trip to the ER this weekend.

So have fun, stay cool, and play safely.

And remember,

Always Look For the Beauty Around You

Ready For Spring?

I think spring may actually be here to stay this time. Around these parts, we often get what the older generation call “Blackberry Spring,” which is an early warming followed by another dose of winter. Why Blackberry Spring? I don’t know. It’s a thing.

But in the meantime, it’s time to get ready to plant. Spring is in the air. Literally. The pollen is everywhere, covering everything in a yellow haze.

But if you’d like to bring springtime into your home without the pollen, and if you like candles, check out the Spring Collection from Mythologie Candles. I love these candles, with their unique scents inspired by fantasy. I haven’t yet chosen my springtime favorite, but I’m leaning toward I Dream In Lavender.

And don’t forget L’Bri Pure and Natural! It’s a new month with new sales and specials. This month features their Facial Mask, a Clarifying Clay Mask, and several other must haves. I love the Facial Mask. And don’t forget, most of their skincare products contain Aloe Vera!

So check it out and find your favorites!

In the meantime, have a lovely Springtime in April.

And remember,

Always Appreciate the Beauty Which Surrounds You

Summer is Here

Memorial Day weekend definitely signals the arrival of summer, whether Mother Nature agrees or not. Of course, our daytime temperatures have been in the 80’s this week, even if the nights have been chilly.

But with the arrival of summer, we’re spending more time outside around the pool, having BBQ’s, walking and hiking. And that means sunburn, unless we take some precautions.

I don’t know which products you use, but if you’re looking for something a little more natural, I would recommend the L’Bri products. By replacing the alcohol in their skincare line with aloe vera gel, they’ve increased their moisturizing ability. As well as having a full set of skin care and body care products, they have a wonderful sunscreen and a moisturizer with sunscreen which work wonderfully.

Their lotions, body butters, and body wash are available in several different scents, or you can get them fragrance free.

A friend of mine from high school introduced me to these products several years ago and I fell in love with them. I particularly like the body butter, the rejuvenating foot cream, and the aloe vera gel.

They also have hair care products for you.

Want a new look for summer?

They also have a complete line of makeup on offer!

So go into summer with confidence and pamper your skin.

Ready For Summer?

With the temperatures rising, the rain tapering off, and the garden beginning to bloom, I’d say summer is right around the corner.

Are you ready for summer? Your skin and hair can take a beating out in the heat. And after the cool weather we had late into spring, this sudden heat is a killer here in the Southeast.

If you’ve known me for any length of time, you know that one of my favorite product lins is L’Bri. With safer and more natural offerings, they give me the moisture and protection I need while giving me the more pure and natural ingredients I want.

What are my favorites?

Right at the top of the list would have to be the Aloe Vera Barbadensis Jelly. It is a marvelous moisturizer and is wonderful for sunburn or irritated skin.

And then there is the body butter in a variety of scents, or with no scent at all!

Do you carry lotion in your purse? Check out the 2 oz. offering, which is perfect for taking along. Also available in a variety of scents and scent free.

Like to co-ordinate your skincare? They have body wash in scents to match the body butter and lotion. Wonderful smooth and creamy, it doesn’t dry out your skin as it cleanses.

My favorite scent is the warm and sensuous Mandarin Fig, if I’m going to be home. When I’m going out where there may be people with reactions to scents, I use the fragrance free.

So are you ready for the summer sun? If not, L’Bri has you covered!

Check out their summer sale items. And if you hurry, you may still be in time for the Father’s Day specials!

Yes, L’Bri has a men‘s line of products as well, so you can pamper your guy as much as you pamper yourself.

Stay Safe, Stay healthy!

Last Sunday in May

Yes, Summer is almost upon us, and the past two days have given us a preview of it here in Georgia.

So what else has been happening in my world?

We had a solid week of drizzle and rain, with temperatures in the 60’s. So now, during the past two days, the rain has ended and the temperatures have soared into the 80’s. Great for the tomatoes, but I’m not so keen on the shift.

The deck garden is looking great, with all my little herbs beginning to come around now that the temperatures are a little warmer. I have plenty of oregano and several basil starts potted and growing, as well as some celery and onions.

The tomatoes in the back yard look great and have started reaching for the sky. Not sure about the poblano chiles. They look a little peaked at the moment. Maybe they didn’t like all the rain.

But with summer here, it’s definitely time to think about your summer skincare and sunscreen.

Have you checked out L’Bri? With aloe vera replacing the alcohol in their products, there is no drying effect, only wonderful moisturizing.

They also carry hair care products, makeup, and household supplies. So go check it out! L’Bri — Pure and Natural.

Summer Is On the Way

At least, I think it is. We’ve had most of a week of dark, drizzly rain here lately, so it’s not looking particularly summery. About a week ago, we had temperatures up in the 70’s and there was a definite promise of summer in the air.

Which got me to thinking about sunscreen.

And then I got the new notice from L’Bri that their sunscreen products are on special this June!

Have you tried their sunscreen? Combining aloe with zinc oxide, soothing botanicals and moisturizing, antioxidant-rich fruit oils to replenish moisture and protect, they don’t leave any chalky feeling as they shield you from UVA and UVB.

Go on over and check out the specials. And while you’re there, you may find something else you’ll love. I particularly like their fragrance-free lotions and body wash, and the Aloe Vera Barbadensis Jelly. If you get a little too much sun, it is marvelous for cooling the burn.

So don’t wait. Grab a cold drink and head on over.

Ready for Autumn?

I do believe I am. This summer has been very hot and wet where we live. Of course, autumn will probably be dry, leaving my hair and skin flaky and itchy.

After chemotherapy and radiation therapy, my skin can’t take what it once could. Being diabetic can leave my hands dry and sore. But I have defences against both of them.

The L’Bri company has a fantastic line of skincare products that are much less drying for me than most other brands. They have replaced the water and alcohol in their lotions with aloe vera, which helps sooth as well as soften your skin.

Another thing I like is that they last a long time. It only takes a little bit to do the trick. The first time I tried the lotion on my hands, I had about enough to do most of my body!

I don’t endorse many products, but this is one line I really love. I use their lotion, body butter, and facial combos all the time. I also love the aloe vera gel I can buy separately.

They have recently added a line of fragrance free products as well, if you don’t like things with scent.

So check out the September Sale, browse the site, and give some of their products a try.
